Heather Webber's In the Middle of Hickory Lane is a tale of triumphantly defeating your past and all the hurdles life sets in your way. It follows two young women tied by family and discovering not only their kinship, but a friendship to last a lifetime. They dive into the past with help of a gazing pool, garden lessons, and a loving grandmother looking to guide her girls, finding valuable truths that lead to love, success, and above all, family.
Our newest member, Sandra, hosted this book club, showcasing incredible details for decor, topics to discuss, and impressive bartending skills! Everywhere you turned, you were met with a thoughtful detail from the book. She had bees throughout her decor, tipping the hat to a character nicknamed "Bee" along with the magical presence the bees offered throughout the book. She even gifted us with handmade etched bee shot glasses and adorable "to BEE continued" wooden bookmarks!
She printed all of "Glory's Garden Lessons" that started many of the chapters in the book, discussing the meaning of different flowers and plants. She labeled flowers all around her decor, showcasing some favorites discussed in the book. Her drinks were all honey-based...and boy were they the Bee's Knees! She challenged our members to incorporate honey as an ingredient in the food, making for a delicious menu. Check out the menu, recipes, decor, and discussion guide below!
